How does this work?

groups.yahoo.com is a free and advertisement-based service that provides the technical background for an online community to discuss and share information. They do the membership list joining and leaving stuff, the distributing of mails and the archiving.

What they do not do is the content. All information comes from ezio.co.uk, the discussions are contributed by the registered fans.

The advertising is limited to a couple of text lines at the top or bottom of a message. They promise that you do not receive any unsolicited mails. You can join either online by registering with the “Yahoo! Groups” service where you receive an account (the so-called Yahoo! ID and a password). Within that account you can join a couple of groups, e.g. the Ezio Mailing List. You can also customize that account - e.g. you can receive daily digests if you like.
